NSGF Reaffirms Commitment at Abuja Meeting
Governors of the 19 northern states, under the umbrella of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF), have reaffirmed their collective support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in addressing insecurity and accelerating development across the region.
The resolution was reached during a high-level meeting held at the Gombe State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, where key issues affecting northern Nigeria were extensively discussed.
The meeting was chaired by Inuwa Yahaya, who also signed the communiqué issued at the end of deliberations, reflecting the forum’s unified stance on strengthening security architecture and fostering sustainable growth.
The governors emphasized the need for stronger collaboration with the Federal Government to combat persistent security challenges while promoting economic stability and infrastructural development across the northern states.
The endorsement signals a renewed alignment between northern state leadership and the administration of President Tinubu, as efforts intensify to restore peace and improve living conditions in the region.
